Heart Evangelista continues to cement her status as a style icon as she is set to receive the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year award in Dubai later this month. 

"See you soon, Dubai," said the actress on Instagram Stories as she shared a post from the EMIGALA Awards, which recognizes Arab and international personalities who have made waves in the fields of fashion and beauty.  

After years in local showbiz, Evangelista rose to fame as a style influencer after being recognized by the likes of Vogue Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, and Forbes France.

She has been dubbed as the Philippines' "Queen of Fashion" for setting trends and showcasing both local and international brands.

The fifth EMIGALA Awards will be held on April 22 and 23 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. 

Last year's edition awarded another Filipina, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, as Global Fashion Influencer of the Year. 

In 2021, Dubai-based Filipino designers Michael Cinco and Furne Amato received awards for their contributions to the fashion industry.
