MANILA — The musical version of "Bar Boys," a local movie about life in law school, is returning for a limited run this October.

In a statement, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative said the play will run from October 4 to November 3 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati.

Lead stars Benedix Ramos (Erik), Alex Diaz (Chris), Jerom Canlas (Torran), Omar Uddin (Josh), and Sheila Francisco (Justice Hernandez) will be reprising their roles.

A musical stage adaptation of the well-loved 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino film by Kip F. Oebanda, "Bar Boys: A New Musical" follows the life of four friends and their journey to become defenders of justice in the Philippines.

In their journey to become lawyers, their dreams, ideals, and even friendship are challenged by the demands of law school, the pressures of love and life, and the harsh reality of the world.

Book and lyrics are by Pat Valera, who will return to direct alongside Mikko Angeles. Myke Salomon, who composed the adaptation’s original songs, also serves as the musical director. Jomelle Era will also return for movement direction.

Opening weekend tickets are now available via Ticket2Me
