MANILA -- An innovative speech development app designed for individuals with speech delays and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has been recognized with two gold medals at the 2024 Stevie Awards. 

Mylo Speech Buddy, a Filipino-developed app, was named the “Tech Startup of the Year- Software” at the 21st International Business Awards and the “New Product of the Year- Educational Technology” at the Technology Excellence Awards. 

The Technology Excellence Awards has earned the nickname “The Olympics for Technology.” This program, hosted by the Stevie Awards, attracted over 600 nominations from organizations in 21 nations and territories. The submissions were evaluated by a panel of more than 100 industry experts and thought leaders from around the globe. 

The International Business Awards (IBA) stands as a top-tier global business awards program that celebrates outstanding accomplishments in the business realm.

These prestigious awards highlight Mylo Speech Buddy’s innovative speech therapy approach and commitment to empowering individuals with ASD. The app offers customizable speech exercises and real-time feedback, making it a valuable tool for parents, therapists, and individuals within the autism community. 

Beyond its award-winning achievements, Mylo Speech Buddy has also gained international recognition. The app represented the Philippines at the Collision Tech Conference in Toronto last August, where it showcased its cutting-edge technology to a global audience. 

Mylo Speech Buddy was founded in July 2023 by Vincent Rocha and Enrico Aquino. The app was launched in celebration of World Autism Awareness Day last April. The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store.
