But ABS-CBN News learned that this year, Lopez was invited by Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI). It was just unfortunate that the former beauty queen is currently in the US.

“I feel very honored that after ghosting me for decades, they finally invited me to grace the 60th year. When they called me, I was shocked and I told them SMA (Stella Marquez Araneta) will not want my presence there. But Liliana (Soriano) of BPCI told me to forget the past. Let bygones be bygones,” she said.

Gloria Diaz gave me and when she found out I was there, inutusan nya ang security na paalisin ako sa upuan ko. But I stood my ground and was able to watch the pageant,” she recalled.
