MANILA — Bringing over 11 meats for grilling including seafoods and veggies, Young Won Asian Grill at the seaside area of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City is now ready to conquer the Gen Z market.

Redefining the traditional Asian cuisine with a modern gimmick, the restaurant brings together Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Chinese cuisines in the dining experience.

What sets it apart from other BBQ joints is the intimate vibe of the place, paired with music fromr live bands and the view of the seaside road that is a total game-changer.

Young Won's Jade Dragon, in a glass that lightens up.

Spicing up the dining experience, especially for the "young, wild, and free" generation, the restaurant offers its signature cocktail Jade Dragon. It is a green apple-looking cocktail that mixes soju, sourness, and melon placed in a lighting cup.

Young Won's Raymund Magdaluyo.

Raymund Magdaluyo, one of the entrepreneurs behind Wolfgang’s Steakhouse and now Young Won, said they thought of having a unique Asian grill experience that offers various styles from different countries.

"During the pandemic, what happened was we realized that more and more people are eating steaks. I guess it's because of the rising income... and you know, a steak is a steak. Barbecue is barbecue," he said.
