MANILA -- Love, Bonito co-founder Rachel Lim, CEO Dione Song, and the rest of their team are in Manila to mark their newest milestone -- the launch of the Singaporean fashion brand's first branch in the country.

Style influencers, members of the media, and special guests were given a first look at the store, located at Greenbelt 3 mall in Makati City, on Friday, July 12.

"We've been shipping to the Philippines since 2019," noted Song. "We are thankful for the support we've received from the [Filipino] community. We've been planning this opening for so long."

Lim, for her part, said: "We are so proud to say that we are finally here [in the Philippines]. We truly believe that we are here to empower women through the different stages of life."

It was in 2010 when Lim and her friends started Love, Bonito, with the aim of offering stylish yet practical pieces for Asian women. The brand held pop-ups in the Philippines for two years before finally opening a physical store in the country.

"This is just the beginning," Song said. "We're definitely looking forward to opening more [branches] across Manila in the next couple of years."

Love, Bonito design manager Jon Goh said Filipinos can look forward to well-thought-out pieces such as ruched sleeve blazers, bloat-friendly dresses with pockets, and pants that can make petite women look taller.

Their collections primarily attract women aged 25 to 45 who are looking for polished outfits that can take them from work to play.

"That's what we're all about, making our clothes accessible to women," Goh said.
