The Philippines' tropical paradise of Palawan was once again voted as one of the best islands to visit around the world.

The list, which is based on votes by readers of the New York-based magazine Travel + Leisure, includes a total of 25 island getaways.

Palawan ranked 13th with a reader score of 90.59. At number 1 is Maldives with 95.63, followed by Phu Quoc in Vietnam (94.41), Bali in Indonesia (93.26), Milos in Greece (93.08), and Dominica (92.47).
