MANILA  -- Looking back at his roots. This was how Kapamilya host Vice Ganda described his support for the talented young Filipino designers who participated in the second Rampa Manila fashion show.

Rampa Manila showcased the "future of Filipino fashion" by featuring creations from up-and-coming designers Dhenyze Guevara, Joanna Santos, and Morissette Magalona last Wednesday, June 19, at Bulwagang Rodriguez of the Manila City Hall which was transformed into a runway creatively put together by fabrics all sourced from the city’s go-to market hub Divisoria.

Alongside the young designers are seasoned fashion designers including Anthony Ramirez, Jhobes Estrella, Marc Rancy, Neric Beltran, and Val Taguba who come up with exquisite designs.

“Malaki ang bahagi ng Divisoria sa pagkatao ko, sa pag-aaral ko, sa pagiging artist ko, sa pagiging bading ko. Sumusuporta ako sa ganitong  projects at 'yung naka-feature na fashion designers dito ngayon malaki rin ang naging tulong nila sa journey ko sa showbiz industry. Sila ang gumagawa ng mga outfits na sinusuot ko sa special events sa TV at iba pang showbiz events," Vice said.

According to Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, the project aims to pay tribute and raise the standards of Divisoria as the textile capital of Metro Manila.

“Its a collaboration of all the best fashion designers in the Philippines wherein binisita nila ang Divisoria para nandoon lahat ng textiles natin, doon bumalik ulit ang love natin for fashion and everything 'yan po ang Rampa Manila," Lacuna said.

Aside from Vice Ganda other personalities also graced the second Rampa Manila including Agot Isidro, John Lapus, Stacey Gabriel, Kaye Tinga, Pinky Tobiano, Liz Uy, Laureen Uy, Katrina Ponce-Enrile and Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo.

Beauty queens Celeste Cortesi, Ahtisa Manalo and Nicole Cordoves walked the runway.
