From a bun made of flags to getaway deals, here are some Independence Day events and promos you can check out this week. 

Araneta City

Araneta City in Cubao, Quezon City has prepared a lineup of events in celebration of Independence Day.

At 2 p.m. on June 12, Pablo of the P-pop group SB19 will perform at Quantum Skyview of Gateway Mall 2, along with the duo Better Days. 

Mallgoers can also enjoy the Local Products and Delicacies Bazaar by POP QC at the Ali Mall Activity Area until June 12, and the Fernando Amorsolo Art Exhibit at the Gateway 1 Mall Activity Area until June 14.

Meanwhile, a mobile exhibit showcasing the works of editorial cartoonist and National Artist for Visual Arts Larry Alcala titled "Slices of Life, Wit, and Humor" is running until June 30 at the Gateway Gallery.

Homegrown coffee giant Bo's Coffee rings in Philippine Independence Month with a focus on local flavors. with its "Magandang Umaga, Pilipinas" campaign. The campaign features refreshing frozen beverages made in collaboration with another beloved Filipino brand, Lily's Peanut Butter. Customers can enjoy the Iced Peanut Butter Foam Latte and Peanut Butter Mocha Froccino for a limited time.

The brand's annual Anniversary Caffeine Rush promotion returns, offering discounted P100 Medium Froccinos every Friday from 3 to 6 pm, from June 21 to July 19 (excluding Mocha and seasonal flavors).

Time to plan your next getaway as Discovery Hotels and Resorts is holding its Independence Day Travel Sale until June 16.

The event promises up to 60% savings on bookings at Discovery Boracay, Discovery Coron, Discovery Samal, Discovery Primea, Discovery Suites, Manami Resort, and Chema's By the Sea.

Lucky Chinatown

Lucky Chinatown has unveiled a new installation in celebration of Independence Day.

"The Buns of Goodwill" is a vibrant display of 391 red, white, blue, and yellow buns that form the Philippine flag. Located on the mall's second floor, it serves as a symbol of friendship and cultural exchange between the Filipino and Chinese communities.

The artwork, designed in partnership with the famed Chinese deli chain Eng Bee Tin, is available for public viewing until June 30. 

Shangri-La Plaza

Shangri-La Plaza is marking Independence Day with a show featuring the Philippine Maharlika Dance Artists (PMDA).

Dedicated to promoting and preserving the country's dance heritage, the PMDA will perform at the mall's Grand Atrium at 5:30 p.m. on June 12. 

Mallgoers can also check out Filipino art at Galerie Stephanie's Free Fall Exhibit, which features local artists that work with paper. 

There will also be a special screening of the Disney-Pixar film "Inside Out 2," which features Fil-Am actor Liza Dapira as Disgust.
