Sailors compete during the 51st Paraw Regatta Festival, the longest and biggest sailing competition in Southeast Asia, held at Sto. Nino Sur, Arevalo, Iloilo City on March 3, 2024. The race covers a 30-kilometer course from Villa Beach in the Arevalo district to Guimaras Island and then back to Villa Beach. Initiated in 1973, the regatta honors the double outrigger boats as a crucial element of early Ilonggo history, as the city aims to preserve the paraw tradition.
