The Miss Grand India organization has announced that it is cutting ties with Miss Grand International, just a month after scoring a historic crown win via its delegate, Rachel Gupta.

Nikhil Anand, president of Glamanand Entertainment which owns Miss Grand India, said the decision "comes from recognizing that our visions and goals differ at this moment."

"Loyalty remains a cornerstone of our values, and it has greatly influenced this decision," he said in a statement posted on Miss Grand India's social media pages, not giving further details.

"We remain committed to prioritizing trust, alignment, and long-term relationships as we move forward."

Anand went on to stress that they will continue to support Gupta as she continues her reign as Miss Grand International despite the recent development.

"Rachel, you will forever be our queen, and your achievement marks a historic milestone for our country," he said.

Miss Grand International has yet to publicly comment on the matter.

Aside from Miss Grand International, Glamanand is known for sending Indian delegates to other pageants such as Miss Universe, Miss Teen Universe, and Miss Charm.

Gupta won India's first Miss Grand International crown last October, with the Philippines' CJ Opiaza placing first runner-up.
