MEXICO -- Miss Universe President and Owner Raul Rocha and Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip express their excitement for the new Miss Universe crown unveiled yesterday.

Rocha highly praised the beauty of the crown by the Filipino luxury brand Jewelmer.

“Amazing, it’s the best one. In the history of the Miss Universe, it’s the best one— beautiful beautiful beautiful!” he said.

The new crown is called the “Light of Infinity” and is made of 23 of the Philippines’ national gems — South Sea pearls.

It’s also studded with diamonds and gold and resembles a sun with long rays.

Jacques Branellec, CEO of Jewelmer, is also very proud of their creation which took two years to make.

“We don’t have words to express how grateful we are. We’re so thankful for the trust. They trusted us blindly and said we had full creative control. They gave us that. The fact that they’re appreciating the new crown for us is an honor for our family, our country,” saidBranellec.

"Historic moment for our brand and also the Philippines," Jacques added.

His sister Marion Branallec de Guzman said they have also gotten emotional just like the candidates over their great feat.

History was made by Jewelmer by being the first crafter of a Filipino-made Miss Universe crown.

The crown will find its way to the Miss Universe winner this November 17, Sunday, Manila time.
