MANILA  -- For the third time, Catriona Gray has been invited to be a commentator for Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico City. 

Gray confirmed this during the media conference of her upcoming Legacy Ball, which aims to raise funds for Young Focus, a non-government organization.

"I will be in Mexico, second week, to support Chelsea (Manalo) our representative and to serve as commentator for Miss Universe," she said.

This is the third year that Gray has been invited to be a commentator -- first was in New Orleans, Lousiana in 2022, the second was in El Salvador in 2023 and this year it'll be in Mexico City,

"I am grateful for the trust of the Miss Universe Organization for inviting me once again, for the third year in a row," she said.

"Iba talaga experiencing it from an audience just watching at home 'yung mga past years and then being a candidate and then being there behind the scenes as a commentator watching the action unfold. Iba siya!"

Gray revealed that she was considered to be the main host of the pageant but doing the sideline anchoring is already a blessing for her international hosting stint.

As for Chelsea Manalo's chances, Catriona has high hopes for our country's bet.

"I think she really brings a fresh breath of air to the competition, and I know she had an ample amount of time to prepare, so I'm just really excited," Gray said.
