Renowned American television host and actor Mario Lopez is set to host the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico in November.

In a recent social media post, Lopez was announced as a host for the grand finale of the pageant's 73rd edition.  

"With over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, his charm, commitment, and passion ensure a night to remember," Miss Universe said. 

California-born Lopez was a former host of "The X Factor" and is well-known for playing A.C. Slater on "Saved by the Bell." 

He has also appeared in "Dancing with the Stars" and "America's Best Dance Crew." 

The Miss Universe Organization has yet to announce other hosts and performers, but a lot of excitement awaits Filipinos as Chelsea Manalo aims to take home the country's fifth crown.
