MANILA -- PUBG Mobile and Breakout Philippines unveiled a limited-time escape room just in time for Halloween.

The Bloodmoon Awakening, made by PUBG Mobile in collaboration with Breakout Philippines, will have players scrambling for clues to escape three chambers within 45 minutes.

ABS-CBN News and other members of the media were given the chance to try out the escape room. Easter eggs or references on PUBG Mobile can be found -- albeit subtly -- throughout the escape room.

The story revolves around players (hunters) seeking to retrieve an artifact which can "control both vampires and werewolves." On their website, the escape room is tagged with a 4/5 level difficulty.

The room is patterned after PUBG Mobile's latest update, themed on vampires and werewolves. 

This is also the first time Breakout Philippines  over hauled a room for a collaboration, Von Gatillo, Breakout senior project manager, told the media.

"Originally we have a thing where we have a branch takeover. Kasi we have a concept where we pick a branch, and a room and we just change or tweak the puzzles lang. Nagkataon kasi na sa Makati branch, we have an empty room. So we took advantage of this," Gatillo said.

"We would want to also parang in a way give a different experience for our players and I think it is the first one in the Philippines na we worked together for a unique experience," Benj Dalmacio, senior business development manager of Tencent Games, said.

The escape room can be found in the Breakout Assembly Grounds Makati branch, with a 10-percent discount for PUBG Mobile players who have the app on their phone.

According to Tencent, rates start at P350 per person on weekdays while special rates apply on weekends and holidays (1-2 players: P650 per player; 3-4 players: P550 per player; 5-6 players: P450 per player).
