TAGAYTAY CITY -- Here’s a new restaurant to try on your next Tagaytay food crawl.

From the Spanish words "amar" (profound affection) and "cena" (supper), Amacena features Pinoy comfort food as reimagined by its executive chef, Luigi Muhlach.

Set within One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites, Amacena is just a stone’s throw away from tourist attractions like Picnic Grove. It also sits very close to Tagaytay-Santa Rosa Road, which makes it an easy first food stop when you get to Tagaytay – or your last one, before heading back home.

Foodies looking to find interesting new takes on local cuisine as well as fusion dishes can delight in the restaurant’s gastronomic offerings from breakfast to dinner.

Here are some dishes you can order at Amacena.

For appetizer, try Adobo and Kesong Puti Bruschetta, twice-cooked adobo with kesong puti and grape salsa.

Another recommended dish is the Sizzling Bulalo Steak, which consists of beef bulalo, mushroom sauce, garlic chips and fried potato.

Here's Muhlach's version of a Tagaytay favorite -- the Tawilis fried rice.

Muhlach tweaks the usual chicken wings recipe with Honey Bagoong Wings.
