Pizza appears to be the comfort food of choice for Rachel Peters, who failed to make the Top 5 of the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

Hours after the competition concluded with South Africa's Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters as the winner, Peters posted on Instagram Stories a clip of her having a slice.

This is Peters' first post on social media since the pageant.

Plenty of Filipinos and local stars have already voiced their support for her despite the loss, with many saying that they're still proud of her for making it to the Top 10.

Anne Curtis, one of the most followed celebrities on Twitter, posted: "Making it to the top 10 is such a feat! You were gorgeous [Rachel]! Congratulations to our Miss Universe!"

ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe also shared a photo of Peters being flocked by her fans as she left the pageant venue.

Prior to flying to the US to support Peters, Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte, her boyfriend, said that he'll always be there for her regardless of the result.

"To Rachel, just continue to do your best. No matter what happens, I am always here for you, [as well as] your parents, your brother, and your family who will always believe in you and love you," he said.
