MANILA – The 2017 Miss Intercontinental pageant has been rescheduled to a later date.

According to an announcement in its official Facebook page, the competition will be held for the first time in Egypt. It will take place at the Sunrise Grand Select Crystal Bay from January 10 to 26.

This was also confirmed by Philippine bet Katarina Rodriguez on her Instagram page.

“Just found out my pageant was moved to Jan 10-26 next year in Egypt. Have to replan everything again,” Rodriguez wrote.

During her sendoff party, Rodriguez reacted to the Philippines’ stellar performance in recent international pageants.

“They started a streak,” said Rodriguez. “I’m the last to compete, but I’m looking forward to watching my fellow queens… It gets me really excited.”

Karen Ibasco and Winwyn Marquez won Miss Earth 2017 and Reina Hispanoamericana 2017, respectively, early this month.

Nelda Ibe was named first runner-up in Miss Globe 2017, while Elizabeth Clenci finished second runner-up in Miss Grand International 2017.
