MANILA – Actor-singer Alexander Diaz and fitness coach Miguel Lagman Chanco recently found themselves at the center of a controversy involving an indecent proposal, but all’s well that ends well.

This as Chanco revealed that he has reached out to Diaz to apologize, as reported by the entertainment website Pep on Monday.

“I have reached out to Alex Diaz and apologized to him,” he was quoted as saying. “He graciously accepted, and I am so thankful for that.”

Chanco also took the exclusive interview with Pep as an opportunity to say sorry to the LGBTQ community for forcing Diaz out of the closet after revealing the former MYX VJ’s question about indecent proposals to the public.

“I’d like to extend my apologies to the whole LGBTQ community and to everyone who was affected. It was an incident I regret. Looking forward, I hope our respective work can continue to empower people, regardless of gender or sexual orientation,” he said.

Amid the controversy, Diaz came out as a bisexual and apologized for failing to “uphold the values I so strongly try to convey online.”

He has since left for Canada to “reassess” and “take some time for myself.”
