BUTUAN CITY -- Three renowned Butuanon artists Harrison Espina, Ace Arizobal and Renante "Kuya Dubz" Dublois have teamed up for the group show "Balwarte."

The exhibit, which opened at a mall here on Wednesday, features around 70 paintings and sculptures.

Arizobal's works are more pop art and based on iconic figures that influenced him like Bob Marley and Pablo Picasso.

Espina's subjects include landscapes and animals, while Dublois focuses on social realism dealing with past and present social issues.

One of his works "Gugma dili bala" (Love not war) tackles extra judicial killing in the country.

Dublois also showcases five sculptures -- "Saving Frace," "The Boss," "Madonna and Child," "Haring Ibon" and "The Traveller" -- which are made of epoxy on driftwood.

"Balwarte" is open to the public and runs until November 12.
