MANILA – It seems that painting has become a popular hobby among local celebrities.

The newest actress to take up painting is Lotlot de Leon, who has been sharing photos of her artworks on her social media pages.

De Leon, who has so far done paintings of flowers on a vase and the sea, admitted that she has a long way to go when it comes to her new hobby.

“As they say, practice means perfect. I wonder how many tries ang magagawa ko bago mangyari ‘yun,” she wrote in one of her posts.

De Leon started out as a member of the now defunct show “That’s Entertainment.” She is the adopted daughter of veteran actors Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon.

Many local celebrities have been turning to painting as a way to de-stress. Last month, actor Richard Gomez created a painting which he called “The Significance of 2016” for his wife, Lucy Torres.

Actor Baron Geisler previously said painting is his way of “conquering his demons,” while actress Bangs Garcia was able to sell one of her paintings for a whopping P380,000 last year.

Model Solenn Heussaff opened her first solo exhibit early this year, while actress Heart Evangelista has been painting on designer bags and gowns to make her art more accessible to the public.
