“I do not agree. I believe that if you are a transgender, you identify as that gender. So I feel that we should accept them and allow them to use the restroom in which they identify with, which would either be the men or women’s bathroom,” she said.

She replied: “I think as beauty queens, we are put in a discerning arena where we are subject to so much feedback, whether it be positive or negative. And I think it’s an individual choice just to listen to the people you trust around you – who you know, who give you constructive feedback, who know your preparation, the whole detail – so that they can accurately give you constructive criticism that can really help you.”
