MANILA -- Cristalle Belo Henares, the daughter of celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, introduced her fiance, Australian hotelier Justin Pitt, to the general public on the morning show "Magandang Buhay" on Tuesday.

The two also shared some details about their wedding, which will be held in Italy later this year.

"The wedding preparations are going along quite well. It has been a challenge at some point because we are getting married in Italy and we are not there all the time to talk to the venue and the suppliers and all those type of things," Pitt said.

"It is two months away and everything is coming together quite nicely. It's going to be in Lake Como in Italy, which is a beautiful place. We are both looking forward to it," he said.

Henares and Pitt were introduced to each other by their common friends in Abu Dhabi, where he was working as a general manager at a hotel.

"Best friend ko at best friend niya, nag-connive sila to put the two of us together," Henares recalled.

"When we got to the hotel, as in everything was like a fairy tale. We knew we had common interests like horseback riding, going on adventures together, so in-arrange niya lahat, sand dunes and all these things. It felt like talagang well put together, it made me feel, really, really especial," she said.

The two got engaged in August 2015 in the Maldives.

Despite the distance, Henares said she learned that to make such a relationship work, you need a high level of commitment.

"At 30-plus years old, I realized that having an online relationship forces you to talk and talk and talk and, for me, commitment," she said. "You really have to be very, very committed -- committed to communicate, committed to be devoted to this guy. I'm so happy that I have found someone who is even more committed than I am."

For his part, Pitt described Henares is his source of joy. He also praised her for being positive and helpful to other people.

"Everyone knows her in the Philippines, she's such a warm and caring person. I'm really blessed to have her in my life. When we're together I feel happy and I feel the joy. I just want to make her happy which I want to do for the rest of my life," he said.
