MANILA - Model Joey Mead talked about her relationship with her transgender wife Angie King, who was formerly known as car enthusiast and businessman Ian King.

King came out as a transgender woman last year.

On ANC's "Headstart" hosted by Karen Davila on Friday, the two said that nothing has changed when it comes to their relationship and intimacy as a married couple.

"We are very, very intimate still," Mead replied when asked by Davila if she and King are still intimate.

"[I guess] I'm a lesbian now?" she added. "Or she's a lesbian."

King, for her part, said: "Actually, I think our connection is even deeper because we went through something very difficult and came out strong together."

"I'm very sweet to Joey. I always make sure that she's being taken care of for sure."

King and Mead are promoting their TLC show, "The Kings."
