MANILA – This actress just proved that you can get married without burning a hole in your pocket.

Rich Asuncion tied the knot with rugby player Benjamin Mudie in a civil ceremony in Hong Kong last Monday, May 28.

She wore a form-fitting, off-shoulder white dress.

Citing an interview with Asuncion’s close friend, Aaron Acuña, entertainment website Pep.ph reported that the actress got her wedding dress at Sheike, a ready-to-wear boutique in Australia.

She bought the Allure Maxi Dress – which currently costs 129 Australian dollars or around P5,113 online – while on vacation in Sydney, the report added.

In 2015, singer Kitchie Nadal impressed many Filipinos for wearing a P799 gown to her own wedding.

“This should show all brides around the world that sometimes it’s about the woman and not the dress,” Nadal said in a blog post.
