MANILA — Before the baptism of Bianca Gonzalez’s baby Carmen last week, the newborn’s gown was worn in a similar milestone that dates back three decades.
On Instagram on Wednesday, the “Pinoy Big Brother” host shared a photo of the white dress, explaining why “this is not your ordinary baptismal gown.”
She wrote: “This is what Carmen wore when she was baptized. This was also what Lucia wore during her baptism. And this was also what my husband wore during his baptism over 3 decades ago. My mother-in-law kept it.”
Gonzalez was referring to her firstborn, and her husband, basketball player JC Intal.
Carmen, who was born in October 2018, was baptized early this month, coinciding with her mother’s birthday.
“No other way I would have rather spent my 36th birthday than by welcoming our darling Carmen into the Catholic faith,” Gonzalez wrote in another Instagram post about the milestone.
