In her new book titled “My Journey – The Story of an Unexpected Leader,” ABS-CBN's former president and CEO shares her journey in becoming the leader of the country's biggest broadcasting company.

In the same interview, Santos-Concio shared several useful leadership tips, such as ensuring the right blend between being a professional boss and a nurturing leader to every worker.

"I'm very sure of my boundaries-- the boundaries of professionalism that I expect of every talent, of every worker in the industry. But at the same time, you balance that with a nurturing heart, with an ear that's ready to listen to a human being because I don't see people as commodity," she said.

She also emphasized that all leaders must understand the basic human imperfections of their colleagues, from their personal insecurities to fears. "You have to be patient and talk to them and encourage them to go through a process of self-awareness so they are able to transcend and manage their egos better," she explained.

As a vocal advocate of gender equality, Santos-Concio pointed out that anyone, regardless of gender, can be a leader just like her.
