In his 30 years in the local entertainment scene, we have seen Vhong Navarro play a lot of different roles – as a dancer, actor, dance show judge, and one of the mainstays of It’s Showtime.

While he’s being idolized by many because of his versatility and talents as an artist, you’ll certainly be amazed with how he’s able to handle well his most important role in life – as a hands-on and awesome dad to his two sons Isaiah and Fredriek.

They may not have followed his footsteps yet in the industry, but we’re able to get a glimpse of their wonderful bond through their few television appearances together, as well as in their several photos that they upload on social media.

Being non-showbiz personalities, not much is known about them. However, their dad proudly talked about them in an episode of Jeepney TV’s “BTS” in 2019. According to him, he only used to see his two boys every weekend in their younger years, until their respective moms allowed them to leave with him up to the present.

He and his ex-wife Bianca Lapus had Yce when his dance group Streetboys was on its peak, which almost got him kicked out since their manager Direk Chito Roño didn’t want their reputation as a wholesome group to be tainted. But Direk Chito heeded to Vhong’s plea not to expel him for the sake of his then-pregnant wife.

Meanwhile, in an episode if It’s Showtime recently, he revealed that he had his firstborn Fredriek when he was 19 years old.

As they to spend more time with their dad growing up, Yce and Fredriek are able to establish a solid bond with him, which we’re able to witness during their Magandang Buhay appearance in 2017. Aside from being in-the-know about the romantic relationships of his sons, Vhong also gives them love advice every time they need one, as if he’s just their barkada.

“Ako naman, ‘yong mga sinasabi ko sa kanila, ina-advise ko sa kanila hindi naman dahil sinabi lang din sa akin o may bumulong lang sa’yo o nabasa mo lang sa Twitter. ‘Yong shine-share ko sa kanila, base ‘yon sa sa ne-experience ko kasi pinagdaanan ko na ‘yan e. Ayokong pagdaanan n’yo na masasaktan kayo. Hangga’t maaari, ‘yong sakit na ‘yan gusto ko sa akin. Ako dapat lahat uma-accept n’yan, hindi kayo,” the multi-hyphenate stated.

Yce and Fredriek also expressed how they absolutely want their dad’s now-wife and ABS-CBN writer Tanya Bautista for him, while Vhong disclosed how his two sons sometimes tend to open up more to her than him.

Since he’s a “late bloomer” when it comes to being a dad to them, the It’s Showtime host divulged that he’s been making up to the times they’d lost by going on trips together, which they had not done while they were still apart many years ago.

Aside from travelling and going on gimmicks together, they also enjoy playing basketball and riding around on their bikes, as seen on some of the photos they upload online.
