When you're trying to impress someone in the dating scene, you might want to use your best opening line – that's the purpose of pickup lines. They're meant to be cheesy and give the other person butterflies. However, sometimes things don't go as planned, and you end up delivering a funny punchline instead, just like what happened to these participants in "EXpecially For You."

In the most talked-about segment on “It’s Showtime,” three contestants will try to win over the searcher, who is one-half of an ex-couple with an interesting story to share. We’ve heard plenty of pickup lines from these contestants that made us swoon, but there have also been many that had us rolling on the floor with laughter.

Kapamilya Update has compiled the most hilarious and rib-tickling ‘banats’ for you to enjoy.

Alright, let's start with this pickup line from a contestant named Jericholee, who asked the searcher, Nicole, “Ini-small ka ba nila?” You might expect him to follow up with, “Iniibig kasi kita,” but Jericholee surprised everyone when he instead said, “Huwag kang mag-alala. Hindi natin sila bati.” Ano’ng konek?

There was also a time when Vice Ganda jokingly expressed frustration over searchee Shintaro’s confusing 'hirit', prompting Vice to exclaim, “Computer ka ba? Nagha-hang ka kasi.”

In another episode, a contestant named Romeo used the cliché line, “Ini-small ka ba nila?” Vice Ganda jokingly interrupted, “Kasi iniibig mo siya?” This forced Romeo to think of a new ‘hugot’ on the spot, leading him to say, “Si Juliet ka ba? Ako kasi si Romeo mo.”

Since the guests' words aren't scripted, Vice sometimes can't help but feel nervous that they might say something inappropriate. For instance, one time, a participant used the line, “Dagat ka ba? Kasi gusto kong sisirin ang puso mo.” Who got nervous about that "sisirin" part?

There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to the best ‘da move’. You just have to be creative, or perhaps a bit random, like contestant Renz, who dropped the line, “Danica, ‘di ba anak ka ng mama mo?” Vice found the 'linyahan' so odd that he reacted, “Sa tingin mo, sa mga sinasabi mong ‘yan mapa-proud sa’yo mama mo?”

Sometimes you need to be careful because the line meant for the person you like might be caught by someone else. For instance, searchee Ria expressed, “Sonny, kabayo ka ba?” Oops! Vice was playfully triggered by the word “kabayo” that he felt the need to confront Ria. LOL.

Which of these pick-up lines gave you good vibes?
