Romnick Sarmenta has been a consummate actor in whatever genre he sinks his teeth in, whether it is a fantasy, drama or action flick or teleserye.

Through the years, we’ve been witness to his superb characterizations that made him a premiere showbiz talent since debuting as a child star in the late 1970s.

Currently, Romnick plays the vicious, two-faced villain Juan in the continuing saga of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, as he locked horns with a seething Cardo (Coco Martin) with his vile actions.

But more than his thespic excellence or the difficult roles he slayed, Romnick has also been a loving, dedicated, and responsible father to his “amazing 5”—five precious, adorable children with estranged wife Harlene Bautista. They are Abijah, Zeke, Bo, Merel, and Yuwela.

In an interview with Magandang Buhay in 2018, Romnick expressed his deepest love for his children amid all the controversies and the heartbreaks that came into his life. He would say he would always be there for them, no matter what.

“Siyempre gusto mong maramdaman nila na nandyan ka, na mahal mo sila, na kahit anong pagdaanan nila, you’re going to be a part of their lives,” Romnick told the Magandang Buhay momshies.

While stressing no father is perfect, except the One “up there,” Romnick qualified, “hindi mo maalis na gustuhin mong magawa ‘yung the best para sa mga anak mo.”
