Romnick Sarmenta, a multifaceted Filipino actor known for his roles and contributions to both film and television across diverse genres, gives us a glimpse into his life as he candidly answers personal questions in this episode of “High Profile."

Officially named Romeo Nicolas Sarmenta Tejedor, he legally shortened it to Romnick to avoid conflicts with paperwork, though some still call him Rom or Nic. He’s 52 years old, born on April 28, 1972, and a proud Taurus. Romnick embodies the traits of his zodiac sign—grounded, artistic, and resilient.

Taurus traits such as a love for music, sketches, paintings, and reading reflect Romnick’s interests. He admitted that while he rarely gets angry, when he does, it's best to give him some space. On a lighter note, he loves all the colors of the rainbow, though he particularly likes blue, green, brown, and yellow.

Romnick’s culinary preferences lean towards spicy food, and he enjoys indulging in Double Dutch ice cream. Although he admitted to being somewhat lazy about sports, he used to play billiards and kickboxing. In his free time, he finds solace in video games, sketching, drawing, and journaling with a pen.

A true motorcycle enthusiast, Romnick finds peace in riding any type of motorcycle and cherishes time spent with his children. His unique collections include Japanese swords (katana) and fountain pens.

Reflecting on his childhood, Romnick fondly remembers his time at Broadcast City, where he mistakenly thought he was getting a lollipop but ended up auditioning for a role and as a “pabibo” kid he got cast as Peping in “Gulong ng Palad” where his career started.

In friendships, he values trustworthiness and reliability, often helping friends in need. If he weren’t an actor, Romnick would have pursued a career as a priest, a calling he felt strongly about in high school but didn’t follow through on.

Finally, to his future self, Romnick has a simple but powerful message: “Kaya natin to!”—a reminder that no matter what challenges lie ahead, he has the strength to overcome them. “kung anuman ‘yung haharapin mo pa in the future, kaya mo rin ‘yan.” he said.

Catch Romnick as Dante Eballa in “High Street,” weeknight on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5 and A2Z.
