A new culinary and nightlife hotspot has officially arrived in Poblacion, Makati. Scratch and Dumbo opened their doors, unveiling a unique dual-concept venue that’s already making waves. Combining the bold flavors of smash burgers with the exclusivity of a speakeasy bar, the new establishment offers an exciting blend of food, drinks, and ambiance at the heart of Makati’s most vibrant district.

This latest venture from partners Marco and Joey Viray, and Patrick Santos—renowned for their New York-inspired spots like Nolita Joes, Nokal, and LES Bagels—has quickly become a go-to destination. The interior, designed by Regina Santos, merges Brooklyn’s urban charm with Poblacion’s dynamic energy, creating an immersive experience that’s equal parts edgy and eclectic.

From soft, made-from-scratch potato buns to freshly mixed patties, everything is crafted with care by Chef Mikko Reyes. The “Classic Smash” burger, featuring a perfectly smashed beef patty with melted cheese and a signature house sauce, has already earned rave reviews.

Tucked behind Scratch is Dumbo, an intimate speakeasy inspired by Brooklyn’s Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass (DUMBO).
