For just two nights this May, Okada Manila is hosting a collaborative culinary event featuring the expertise of La Piazza Ristorante Italiano’s Chef Mattia Stroppa and Mrs. Saldo’s Chef Rhea Rizzo. These two passionate chefs, known for their distinct culinary styles, will come together to showcase their creations on May 15 and 16, 2024.

Originally from Brescia, Italy, Chef Mattia has traveled the world refining his culinary art. Today, he serves as the chef de cuisine of Okada Manila’s signature Italian restaurant, La Piazza Ristorante Italiano. Chef Rhea is a Filipino chef with a deep love for Asian cuisine, as evidenced by the popular dishes at her restaurant, Mrs. Saldo’s, in Silang, Cavite

This event, aptly named “Double Delights,” features a four-hands dinner where the chefs combine their mastery of Italian and Asian cuisines. The multi-course menu is inspired by their personal histories and memories, promising an elaborate journey through flavors and cultures. Highlights include Chef Mattia’s casoncelli pasta, Chef Rhea’s rendition of the beloved bulalo, and a Thai-inspired premium Iberico pork dish.
