As someone who’s lived in Metro Manila for decades, I know that Holy Week is one of the best seasons to spend in the city. With droves of citizens leaving the metro to holiday elsewhere, the city drops into a gentle calm and quiet. Best of all, the streets are free of traffic! The only problem is, a great many establishments are closed, too. So if you find yourself hungry and don’t know where to go, or are planning to take the family out to a restaurant, check first if said restaurant is open.
