She won by a landslide in the election, garnering a phenomenal 576,677 votes.</p><p>She <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/nation/regions/06/20/16/duterte-son-daughter-take-oath-in-davao"><strong>took her oath</strong></a> of office before Davao City Regional Trial Court Branch 16 Judge Emmanuel Carpio Jr.</p><div><iframe allowfullscreen="" allowtransparency="true" frameBorder="0" height="315" scrolling="no" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FabscbnNEWS%2Fvideos%2F10154109860415168%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" width="560"></iframe></div><p>Duterte was accompanied by her husband, fellow lawyer Mans Caprio, and her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman.</p><p>Zimmerman, for her part, said she will also stay outside the limelight while her former husband leads the country.</p><p>“I don’t have any role… I will stay with my children here in Davao City,” she said.</p><p>Zimmerman, nonetheless, said she will help in Duterte’s charitable programs, especially those involved in helping cancer patients. The president-elect’s former wife is afflicted with Stage 3 breast cancer.</p><div><a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/nation/06/20/16/ex-wife-ready-to-help-duterte"><strong>Ex-wife ready to help Duterte</strong></a></div><p>Duterte-Carpio, meanwhile, clarified that she and the rest of her family will continue to accommodate journalists, in the wake of the tiff between her father and members of the press.</p><p>“Sa amin, wala. Wala kaming problem sa media. Kung ano man ang stand ni mayor, it does not apply to us,” she said, referring to her father’s decision not to grant interviews in the meantime.</p><div><strong>MOTHERHOOD</strong></div><p>Duterte earlier told ABS-CBN News that her biggest challenge as a politician is motherhood. The newly installed mayor has two kids: Sharky, 7, and Stingray, 3.</p><p>&quot;The biggest challenge of being a politician is motherhood. It’s time management. Yun yung pinakamalaki. Kaya ganito kami. Hindi ko sila maiwan. Hindi ko maiwan more than one night. Kunwari, aalis ako.
