There comes a time when a pair of sneakers fully depicts the signs of the times. Cue in the Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh, the new ‘It’ shoe that will be all the rave this season.

The first launch is a monogrammed shoe design that comes with an exclusive shoe box. Starting with an online charity auction with Sotheby’s, the collaboration will include a series of events to take place from January through the 1st semester of 2022.

The shoes debuted in the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer ’22 in June 2021 with 47 pairs designed by Virgil Abloh himself. The Nike Air Force 1 is a silhouette known to many and is revered as one of the most iconic shoes of all time. Together, Louis Vuittons luxury touch and Nike’s cultural reach make for a shoe that will always be remembered.

200 pairs of this exclusive design are made in leather and adorned with Monogram and Damier patterns in an exclusive colorway will be sold from January 26th for 14 days, in varying sizes. Each pair will be sold with its pilot case in orange Taurillon leather. 100 percent of the sale’s proceeds will benefit The Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, which in partnership with the Fashion Scholarship Fund, supports the education of academically promising students of Black, African-American, or African descent.

Soon within the auction select people in the community created by Virgil will receive a personalized pair. The shoes will soon hit the Louis Vuitton shelved which are expected to fly perhaps even they hit the stores. More colorways and renditions of the silhouette will also be available.
