All the 83 delegates tonight looked stellar at tonight’s Miss Universe 2022 stage. But apart from the new queens born tonight, the original Miss Universe winners, hosts, and personalities were also tonight’s stunners in their looks, including our very own Catriona Gray.
All the 83 delegates tonight looked stellar at tonight’s Miss Universe 2022 stage. But apart from the new queens born tonight, the original Miss Universe winners, hosts, and personalities were also tonight’s stunners in their looks, including our very own Catriona Gray.

Hosting the main stage is award-winning host and TV personality Jeanie Mai and Miss Universe 2012 (USA) Olivia Culpo. The two is first seen in their dark ensembles: Jeanie in an embellished dress with sheer panels glimmering details while Olivia is in a high-low black embroidered dress and trousers. They later changed into something more feminine: Jeanie in a low V blush dress with ostrich feathers and Olivia in a white body-hugging dress with lace bows. Later, they changed into a pink one-shouldered dress for Jeanie and an electric blue ballerina-inspired look for Olivia.

The backstage commentators also made head-turning statements. Our very own Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray bannered two Filipinio designers at the Miss Universe stage, as she always does. Her opening look was a Julianne Syjuco creation—a carefully crafted yellow venue-cut dress with a dramatic bottom, as styled by Myrrh Lao To. She later on changed to a modern baby blue cutout dress by Jaggy Glarino, styled by Justine Aliman. Hosting beside her is TV personality Zuri Hall in her ruby red and silver looks, respectively.

Another important moment on the stage was when Anne Jakrajutatip the Thai business woman who owns the Miss Universe Organization, gave her speech. Anne is first non-American and trans woman to own it after 71 years. Kate Linebaugh. She emerged in a beautiful caped bejewelled dress with sheer details, as glimmering like the new era she’s created for the Miss Universe pageant. “This stage called the Miss Universe competition, we can elevate all women to feel strong enough, good enough, qualified enough, and never be objectified again,” Anne says.

The looks were all glowing tonight but it’s the new mood of confidence and strength which stood out. Congratulations to the new queens.
