From Luzon, Visayas, to Mindanao, Likha 3 champions the diverse artistry of the Philippines in a five-day fair. Just in time for this year’s Independence Day, Likha 3 staged biggest artisanal fair to date. From June 7 to 11, art and culture enthusiasts are invited to discover the best of Filipino craftsmanship at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum.

Present at the opening ceremony is none other than First Lady Liza Marcos, an avid supporter of local arts and culture.

Likha aims to not only showcase traditional and contemporary Filipino crafts but to also connect these artisans with talented Filipino designers. Apart from textiles, the artisanal fair features embroidery, basketry, pottery, mat weaving, wood and stone carving, filigree and shell craft, among others.

From the 30 participants who joined Likha’s year 1 and 2, over 70+ craftsmen and designers participated at this year’s fair. A special section has also been reserved for the Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA) awardees.

In addition, Likha 3’s storytelling partner, Dama Ko Lahi Ko (DKLK), organized a series of talks on Filipino craftsmanship to help impart stories of heritage and legacy. These forums connect local artisans with key government agencies to find practical solutions and support to thrive in their crafts.
