MANILA - It has been a whirlwind year for James Reid.

Since his birthday this year, the young actor has starred in several hit films and topbilled a fan-beloved television show with Nadine Lustre. He also confessed his love for his onscreen partner in front of thousands during a sold-out concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"This is the highlight of my life so far. Our adventure has just begun," he told Lustre in the caption to a photo he posted on Instagram of them holding hands while confetti rained down. The two then went on to embark on a world tour that took them to the Middle East, Paris, London, and Milan.

To celebrate Reid's 22nd birthday, here's a look at his year-long journey to becoming the ideal man of nearly every Filipina and one of the most popular celebrities in the country.
