As they tried to remedy the bad publicity that this controversy had inflicted on them, Roberto warned her about meddling with his personal dealings. While all of them are greedy, Roberto reprimanded her and Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) during the Guerreros dinner party following their victory from the last elections. Jackie and Miguelito asked for a higher cut from the funds that were about to be given to the Mondragons for the infrastructure programs of the city government, which resulted in a heated spat between Miguelito and Rockyboy (Baron Geisler). They may have been doing it for a long time, yet he reminded them to do it with caution, especially since their other allies were present then. The couple also fought over Divina (Rosanna Roces) after Jackie noticed how their new business partner seemed to have hidden desire for Roberto. He may have downplayed it, but her instincts eventually proved her right as she finally caught them being intimate with each other inside his office. Since he opts to resolve their problems slowly but surely, Roberto got totally livid when he found out that Miguelito had already made his move to stop it. As he berated her for allowing Miguelito to act without waiting for him and consulting him, Jackie told him to at least have a little faith in him. But Roberto proved himself right again about Miguelito’s lack of diskarte, capability, and credibility as Jackie relayed to him that her son failed to execute his plan against Commission Medina as Tanggol and his group arrived unexpectedly.  That night, as they huddled anew on what remedy they must do in order to cover up Miguelito’s mess, Roberto remarked that it could have been better if Miguelito was killed.
