<p>There are just pairs who look insanely good together onscreen even when there’s zero romance involved. Case in point: Joaquin Arce and Lella Ford on “<a href="http://pbb.abs-cbn.com"><strong><u>Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.</u></strong></a>” They’re just two mature Gen Zs staying firmly within ~platonic~ territory, yet somehow serving chemistry every time they share a frame. Well, maybe the charm is in the fact that they’re “just friends.” </p><p>Both of them are carving out their own journeys in Bahay Ni Kuya, and that’s probably why their connection works. They understand each other’s battles.  </p><p>With their era as “PBB” housemates approaching the end, let&#x27;s reminisce a little. If this were a group chat, we’d scroll all the way up to the very first message. Lella opened up about joining “<a href="http://pbb.abs-cbn.com"><strong><u>PBB Collab 2.0</u></strong></a>” as her first real step out of her comfort zone and getting to know herself better as she admittedly feels a little lost sometimes, especially with the pressure and expectations tied to her family’s public life. </p><p>Adding to her self-doubt and overthinking was watching her sister, Magui Ford, earn a diploma abroad, which Lella had always wanted for herself, too. Sometimes she feels like she&#x27;s the only one in the family being left behind. So, she considered &quot;PBB&quot; as the first step toward accomplishments that would finally bear her own imprint.  </p><p>In the same sharing session, Joaquin talked about his &quot;multo&quot; related to his family&#x27;s relationship. Raised by a single mom, Joaquin admitted that growing up, he thought everything was perfectly fine between his parents who remained friends after their separation. But when the pandemic happened, he started to notice the cracks, the things that didn’t feel as okay as he once believed.  </p><p>For a long time, he resented his father, filmmaker Neil Arce, feeling that his presence was mostly financial rather than emotional. Ironically, entering showbiz became the bridge. For the first time, he felt his dad’s support as a mentor guiding him through the ropes of the industry. Slowly, the distance faded and the hole he had carried in his heart for eighteen years started to be filled. </p><p>After sharing his story, Joaquin opened up to Lella about feeling a bit awkward for saying all those things. But Lella reassured him that his dad would understand. Both have proven to be the dependable type of friends, evident when the housemates were asked to carry heavy books as their punishment for violating Kuya&#x27;s rules. Each offense was equivalent to one book. She and Joaquin both volunteered to shoulder some of Sofia Pablo’s books to help ease her burden. Even with their own stack already weighing them down, they were okay with adding more just so Sofia wouldn’t struggle alone. </p><p>The two already knew each other before entering “PBB,” hence the connection felt natural from day one, and it sure was a big help when they were teamed up together in &#x27;Antoquinsella&#x27; with Anton Vinzon and Sofia during the first group formation.  </p><div> </div><div><strong>New Notification: #FriendshipGoals </strong></div><p>Lella and Joaquin have become #FriendshipGoals as they show up for each other. Viewers have clocked Joaquin’s protective, caring energy, with how he looks out for Lella and stays beside her whenever she needs support. </p><p>In another round of punishment, when Lella found out she had the highest number of violations, she found a safe space in Joaquin, who encouraged her to reset and keep going. Joaquin even broke into an adorable little dance to make her smile. And, please, weren&#x27;t we too soft for that moment when Lella asked him to braid her hair? As he focused on fixing the braid, she fed him chips in return. When he found out that other housemates were talking about her as someone’s “hidden crush,” he told Lella because he thought she deserved to hear what was being said about her. Like that task rehearsal when Joaquin slipped and accidentally called Lella “babe” while discussing their scenes and characters for a live drama presentation featuring housemate Marco Masa&#x27;s life story. In Week 8, when the housemates had to choose the &#x27;pinakamabuti&#x27; or nicest among them, Joaquin gave his vote to Lella. Joaquin didn’t even need options. It was Lella or no one. And then they walked the KISLAP red carpet together serving &#x27;fits and face cards. </p><p>The after-party gave us a scene straight out of a K-drama as Lella and Joaquin were seen lying on the grass in the garden and just talking under the night sky. Earlier, each housemate had delivered a speech about their hopes for 2026. At one point, some of the housemates began noticing what they described as Joaquin’s overly direct approach in certain situations, which led to a misunderstanding with Ashley Sarmiento, who felt dismissed when he shut her down mid-conversation while he was speaking with Lella. </p><p>Instead of ignoring the growing feedback, Lella decided to sit Joaquin down for an honest talk where she told him about the other housemates’ concern. Of course, he dedicated the special meal to Lella. While Joaquin admitted he wanted the opportunity for himself, he chose to give his vote to Lella, who, of course, appreciated the selfless move. </p><p>Ironically, the first Big Jump Challenge later placed them on opposite sides. The task required them to transfer blocks using a stick while walking across narrow lanes marked with positive and negative points. Lella finished with -212 points, while Joaquin ended with -336. But even as opponents, Lella could be heard guiding Joaquin on how to balance the block more steadily. A healthy rivalry doesn&#x27;t cancel out friendship, right? What was supposed to be Japanese fried rice wrapped in a neat omelet hilariously turned into just fried rice and scrambled eggs, so he jokingly called it “oh no rice.” It was the effort that counted, though. He even had to sacrifice his share of eggs for this surprise! He literally took on egg debt just to make it happen, as he needed to ask for Miguel Vergara and Carmelle Collado&#x27;s eggs. But when the chemistry is that visible, the imagination kind of runs on its own. Even in the house’s random acting games, Joaquin and Lella have shown they can deliver kilig without even trying. </p><p>While waiting for the next guest at the PBB Hotel, the housemates decided to kill time with a series of impromptu skits.
