Anton Vinzon reflects on personal growth, lessons learned, and fandom love following his “PBB” exit

<p>It was a bittersweet moment for Anton Vinzon when he was evicted from “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/pinoy-big-brother-collab-v2" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0</em></u></strong></a>.” Anton is one of the fan favorites who slays every task, isn’t afraid to show who he is, bonds genuinely with the housemates, and allows himself to grow at every opportunity.  </p><p>On Kapamilya Chat’s January 16 episode, the “Astig Anak-tion Star ng Baguio” looked back on his “PBB” journey, which made such a huge impact on him and one he will always treasure. </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="951" height="535" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eT1XUEAcxVo" title="Anton Vinzon and Rave Victoria | Kapamilya Chat 2026" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>Anton&#x27;s treasured “PBB” moments</strong></div><p>The Kapuso artist shared that before entering Bahay ni Kuya, he only had limited knowledge about “PBB” since he used to watch its past episodes. “Nung pagpasok ko [sa Bahay ni Kuya], I was amazed… nung nakita ko talaga for the first time. Parang… eto na pala ‘yun, tumatayo na pala ako sa Bahay ni Kuya… Hindi ako pala-kaibigan, pero dun na-experience ko like how to build a family, and bond din talaga sa housemates,” he said.</p><p>When asked how he prepared for life inside the house, Anton revealed that he initially tried to compose himself and carefully calculated every move. “[Nung] first week, parang sabi ko kailangan kong umayos, kailangan kong maging mabuti, and magluluto dapat ako… [later on] na-realize ko na ‘this is not me.’ Kailangan ko lang maging totoo sa sarili ko at makipag-bonding talaga sa tao kung sino talaga ako as Anton Vinzon.” shared that afterwards, he felt more relaxed and genuinely happy throughout his stay.  </p><p>During his first few days inside the house, Anton admitted that he initially felt intimidated by Kapamilya housemates Reich Alim and Krystal Mejes. He explained that Reich’s naturally expressionless face sometimes made him think Reich was ‘irritated’ with him. “Pero nung nakilala ko talaga si Reich, very fun po talaga siya. Very kalog rin in person,” he said. Anton shared that he felt the same way about Krystal at first.  </p><p>Anton takes Kuya’s tasks very seriously, especially when chosen as one of the leaders. He recalled that his most unforgettable moment was being assigned to the “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/11/16/day-23-housemates-present-pinoy-big-bakbakan-pbb-collab-2-0-2350" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>Pinoy Big Bakbakan</u></strong></a>”  task alongside housemates Lella Ford and Heath Jornales. The challenge was close to his heart, as they were tasked to create a six-minute action sequence. Anton revealed that his father, veteran actor Roi Vinzon, used to direct him and teach him action stunts, inspiring him to follow in his footsteps. Experiencing how it felt to direct action stunts himself, Anton was proud to apply everything his father had taught him. “Grabe po talaga ‘yung effort namin and, ayun, nanalo kami sa task na ‘yun,” he shared. </p><p>The Kapuso artist was also among the ex-housemates who came close to reclaiming his spot during the wildcard challenge, but Marco Masa won over him. Before leaving, <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2026/1/15/day-83-anton-bumuhos-ang-emosyon-matapos-ang-wildcard-task-pbb-collab-2-0-2319" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>Anton was given a 100-second interaction with his close friend and Kapuso star Sofia Pablo</u></strong></a>, who felt sorry for him but promised to meet him outside after “PBB.”  </p><p>When asked who else he would have wanted to spend those 100 seconds with aside from Sofia, Anton named the Kapamilya housemates closest to him---Miguel Vergara, Carmelle Collado, Lella Ford, and Krystal Mejes. He added that he especially looked up to Krystal for her words of wisdom. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Post-eviction reflections</strong></div><p>Anton’s journey inside Bahay ni Kuya left a huge impact on him. Leaving the house required major adjustments, but he chose to focus on reuniting with his family. “Hindi ko masyadong iniisip ‘yung sa loob [ng bahay], iniisip ko ‘yung family ko agad. Mineet ko sila, kumain kami sa labas. [Pero] fun experience din sa loob ng bahay,” he shared. Anton expressed how much he missed his family and admired the housemates for how well they managed inside Bahay ni Kuya despite being away from their loved ones.  </p><p>When asked what moment he would like to relive from his “PBB” journey, Anton chose their very first night inside the house. “Very raw ‘yung relationship namin [ng housemates]---first time mo sila makilala… pati ‘yung swimming, first [time] naming narinig ‘yung ‘Kabataang Pinoy,’ nag-swimming kaming lahat. Ang sarap nung bonding namin ‘yun,” he recalled. </p><p>Anton also shared how overwhelmed he is by the amount of supporters he has now, which makes him even more grateful for the “PBB” opportunity. “Malaking stepping stone din po ito… I’m just really happy na minahal kami ng tao,” he said. He added that he feels relieved knowing he wasn’t easily judged by viewers and was able to show his true personality while sharing his talent.  </p><p>Aside from his own supporters, several fandom “ships” featuring Anton have also emerged, such as CarTon (with Carmelle Collado), LelTon (with Lella Ford), and KrysTon (with Krystal Mejes). The Kapuso actor admitted he was shocked by the support. “Unexpected. Kasi paglabas ko talaga ng bahay, I was blown. Sabi ko, ‘wow eto na pala ‘yun, paglabas marami palang ship… I’m really grateful sa mga fans,” he expressed. </p><p>Anton also shared the valuable lessons he learned inside Bahay ni Kuya. “Bawat araw, may lesson talaga na natutunan. Grabe ‘yung words of wisdom ni Kuya, ‘yung pagsabi sa akin na ‘I’m really proud of you.’ Grabe talaga ‘yung impact sa akin nun. I realized na ‘yung totoong labanan, nasa labas talaga.
