Andi Abaya reveals her rules on money, friends, and relationships

For us to be able to create a life that is meaningful and fulfilling, as well as for us to live our best lives, it’s really important for us to create and observe a set of rules that could help us stay focused, disciplined, and motivated in reaching our goals. And during her guesting on Kapamilya Chat, Andi Abaya, who portrays 2025 Palarong Pambansa gold medalist Trixia Arellano in the “Barefoot Runner” episode of “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/maalaala-mo-kaya" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Maalaala Mo Kaya</a>,” bared her personal rules with regard to the categories mentioned by the host as she took on the “My Rules Challenge.”First off is her rule when it comes to money, in which she divulged that she has learned to watch the stuff that she buys and budget her money since she’s a self-confessed “impulsive buyer.” She must make sure to balance her spending, such as by buying a meal that costs less than P100 whenever she decides to have a cup of matcha, which we know is a bit pricey.  She may already be in her 20s, yet Andi reveals that her parents, especially her mom, are still quite strict with regard to curfew. While they allow her to go out with her friends until the wee hours of the night, they expect her to follow the curfew or “going-home” time that she sets for herself. Andi, meanwhile, disclosed that she doesn’t look for specific traits when it comes to being friends with anyone since what matters most for her is that they’re trustworthy and they have a give-and-take relationship. She also appreciates more a friend who doesn’t hold back in confronting her whenever she’s doing something wrong or very out of her character, rather than someone who would tolerate her bad habits or behavior.“Kapag tino-tolerate kasi, how am I gonna learn as an individual? Siyempre, I’m at the age na I should learn on my own, pero parang mas na-appreciate ko kasi, even if I’m at this age, I have friends who would help me pa rin and I am the same with them. I trust my friends so much; they trust me, and we really help each other in terms of growing up and being mature,” she conveyed.And lastly, with regard to romantic relationships, Andi couldn’t help herself from laughing before she was able to give her response. Rather than obliging her beau to update her from time to time, she would want them to do it according to his will and to give her the sense of security and safety. She admitted that she actually has other relationship rules aside from this, but there are too many for her to be able to discuss all of them on the show. Thus, she simply summarized them by enumerating that she wanted them to be trustworthy, have a sense of security and care, and be respectful to her dreams, values, family, and friends.
