Acclaimed Korean drama “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay” brought us a story that feels like a fairytale laced with real-life scars and healing. Now imagine that same magic, but with a Filipino heartbeat. The much-anticipated Pinoy adaptation is finally here, and it just had its red carpet advance screening on July 17.

Topbilled by Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino, the local take on the beloved K-Drama made its dazzling debut in a star-studded event attended by the powerhouse cast and some of the biggest names in showbiz. And if the premiere night is any clue, this series is about to take us on one butterfly-filled ride.

Anne, who’s stepping into the iconic role originally portrayed by Korean actress Seo Yea-ji, definitely felt the love on her big night as her “It’s Showtime” family came in full force to show their support. After their hosting duties, Jhong Hilario, along with his partner Maia Azores, headed to the screening, while Karylle, Teddy Corpuz, Jackie Gonzaga, Cianne Dominguez, and Darren Espanto also made sure to be there, all smiles and proud of Anne.

Also spotted on the red carpet were some ex-housemates from “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab”—Esnyr, Ralph de Leon, Brent Manalo, River Joseph, AZ Martinez, Will Ashley, and Michael Sager—who all once brought good vibes to “It’s Showtime” as guests. They came to support their fellow ex-housemates Xyriel Manabat and Bianca De Vera, who are both part of the cast.

And adding to the star-studded affair were KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad (the ever-kilig KDLex!), Belle Mariano, “Incognito” star Anthony Jennings, and Charlie Dizon, who looked extra glowing and proud as she cheered on her husband, Carlo.

“It’s Okay To Not Be Okay” is led by the brilliant tandem of directors Mae Cruz-Alviar and Raymond Ocampo.

Catch the most-awaited Philippine adaptation of “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay,” starting July 21 on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z, and TV5, weeknights at 8:45 PM. Watch it in advance on Netflix (July 18) and iWant (July 19).
