What their “Rainbow Rumble” experience has taught Cianne and Dumbo

Over the past years, the gregarious and talented cast of “It’s Showtime” has been delivering good vibes and laughter to the madlang people. And last July 12, Saturday, five members of the evolving family appeared on “Rainbow Rumble” not just to bring fun but also to show their brainy sides that we probably do not see often on the noontime program. They were hosts Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez; floor director Ervin “Dumbo” Plaza; and backup dancer “Boom Boom Neri.”

In the end, it was the “Sample King” who successfully emerged as the rally winner and had the chance to play in the jackpot round. Unfortunately, he fell short in his bid to win the 1-million-peso pot money after only getting four out of six unique colors in the “Rainbow Reveal” and took home a total of 87,000 pesos instead.

After the game, we had the chance to catch up with Cianne and Dumbo, who enthusiastically talked about their respective experiences on the show. And we’ve collated their responses in this video!

Both of them may have failed to make it to the jackpot round, yet they were still happy as they truly enjoyed the game. 

“Ang masasabi ko lang ay ‘Congrats’, una sa lahat, lalo na kay Kuya Jhong kasi nga siya ‘yong nag-jackpot round. And talaga namang nag-enjoy talaga ako kahit hindi ako ‘yong nag-jackpot. Hindi ko na-feel ‘yong pressure kasi talagang nag-e-enjoy lang ako,” Cianne enthused.

Meanwhile, Dumbo stated, “Okay lang kasi masaya. Sobrang saya no’ng game at saka talagang nag-enjoy ako kasama ‘yong mga taga-‘Showtime’ din. So, wala pong problema do’n.”

When asked which part of the game they found the toughest, Cianne related that it was swiping the sensor for her. It was because even though she really knew the answer, yet she wasn’t able to hit the sensor, she still didn’t have the chance to respond.

Dumbo, on the other hand, admitted that sports is indeed his weakness after he failed to answer the third-to-the-last question that was related to NBA, which Jhong was able to get correctly. 

With regard to their realizations during their “Rainbow Rumble” stint, Cianne imparted that aside from learning several trivia, the game also reminded her to not pressure herself and to just enjoy life in order for her to be happy. And this was exactly what she felt during the game. 

Dumbo had a quite similar response to Cianne, initially taking a swipe at Jackie’s wrong answer to one of the questions before implying that the best part for him was being able to gain additional knowledge.
