Esnyr on looking up to Vice Ganda: “I’m inspired by her”

Content creator and RISE artist Esnyr Ranollo has built a massive following, thanks to his viral high school skits that capture the hilarious and relatable chaos of classroom life. His TikTok content has become such a hit that netizens practically "enrolled" in Esnyr University, where he parodies different student archetypes. He's known for switching outfits and wigs to bring an entire classroom to life, all by himself. What started as a one-man show on TikTok has since grown into a full-blown production on his YouTube channel. 

Indeed, Esnyr is a sensation. But beyond his viral skits and comedic genius, he’s also the friend you’d want around for his sunny personality. His PBB Collab moniker, “Son-sational Viral Beshie ng Davao del Sur,” couldn’t be more fitting. 

He has that rare quality of making every conversation feel easy, like you’ve known him for years. And this side of him comes through even more as he answers these "10 Random Questions." 

When asked who his dream celebrity bestie would be, Esnyr playfully mentioned BINI Aiah and said that befriending her would be like getting to know someone who mirrors his attitude and maybe even his face. It’s like being besties with another version of himself. 

Speaking of friendship, he believes trust is non-negotiable to make it work. And while it might sound cliché, he means it when he says, “Kung wala na ang trust, apektado na 'yung pagkakaibigan natin.” 

The food he could eat every single day would have to be chicken curry, his ultimate favorite. That, and anything with potatoes, which reminds us of his iconic “potato” banter with his fellow "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition" housemate River Joseph which has now become a TikTok sound and which they even recreated after the Big Night. He also wouldn’t mind having 'monggo' everyday, even if, as he joked, “magkaka-gout."  

"Ako," he quipped when asked to name the funniest person he knows. But aside from himself, he thought of “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda, whom he truly admires. “I wanna be her, and I’m inspired by her,” he shared. His manifestations are so strong that Vice Ganda actually dropped by as a houseguest during his time in Bahay Ni Kuya. The Unkabogable Superstar even gave the housemates an inspiring pep talk, telling Esnyr, "You can never be the next Vice Ganda because you can create your own path, and you will. I'm looking forward to seeing that."  

Esnyr picked “skinny jeans" as the most jeje fashion trend he once followed, along with varsity jackets, which were always on his wish list during school Christmas parties because he felt like wearing one would make him look cool and give off a 'rich kid' vibe. “But now looking back, I don’t wanna look back,” he laughed. The question also reminded him of the Camera 360 filters that were popular back then—and if you ever had a photo with those orange-tinted lips, we're pretty sure you’re laughing right now, too. 

For Esnyr, success means being genuinely happy, making people laugh, being able to provide for his family, and inspiring others through whatever milestones he achieves along the way. 

Esnyr loved the question about what he would ask for if given three wishes, because it reminded him of his childhood days when he believed a genie could appear anytime. But now that he’s older, his wishes also run deeper—first is genuine happiness for himself, for his family and his friends. Next is to be rich, not just in money, but rich in positivity, friendships, and all aspects of life. Since this interview happened before "PBB Collab" aired, his third wish was to become the Big Winner, which he may not have officially achieved, but in the hearts of many, he already is. And if he could sneak in a fourth wish, it would be: “Huwag n'yo akong i-bash."  

At the time, Esnyr was admittedly nervous about becoming a housemate, so when asked where he’d go if he could time travel, he said he’d rather take a peek into the future to know how his "PBB" journey would unfold. Besides, he’s come to accept everything that’s happened in his past, good or bad, because those experiences helped shape how he views life now, so he’d rather move forward and see what comes next.  

When asked what he would buy if money weren’t an issue, Esnyr first joked, “Myself, because I’m priceless.” But on a more serious note, he would buy a new house where his family could live comfortably, and most of all, he’d use the opportunity to help those in need and make sure every stray cat and dog gets fed. 

As for the most impactful moment in his life, it would have to be the time he started creating online content. "Hindi ko inaasahan na one video can change my whole life... Iniisip ko kung hindi ko kinapalan ang mukha ko, aabot ba ako ngayon?" he reflected.
