While some ladies wish to only have a simple guy who will love them unconditionally, there are others out there who have probably been dreaming of ending up or getting hitched to a wealthy gentleman who can provide them everything they need and want in life. 

But the latter is not the case for Fatima, the character played by Andrea Brillantes in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” who many people deem is fortunate to strike gold now that she’s officially in a relationship with Miguelito Guerrero, portrayed by Jake Cuenca, the scion of the influential Guerrero clan who currently serves as the congressman of the City of Manila in the series. 

However, even though she doesn’t have at least pinch of love towards him, Fatima has no choice but to go along with their “fake relationship” because, aside from the fact the Guerreros are powerful, Miguelito also threatened to expose her deepest and darkest secret to her family.

Those who have been dutifully watching the teleserye certainly know that their connection began when Fatima was compelled to offer her sexual service to Miguelito in exchange of a whopping amount of money that her family needed in order to pay for the hospital bills of her late brother, Kaloy (Gio Alvarez). While it was only a one-time thing for the terrified Fatima, Miguelito was apparently smitten by her, as he expressed his desire to hire her again when he needed it.

Unexpectedly, their paths intertwined anew when Fatima went to their mansion along with Jessa (Dyosa Pockoh) and Loisa (Loi "Mama Loi" Villarama), the most trusted fashion designers of Miguelito’s mom, Jackie Guerrero (Angel Aquino), who employed her to be their assistant. While Fatima was definitely shocked to see him again, Miguelito was apparently delighted and even requested for her to be the one to take his measurements for the campaign materials that they’re about to create for him.

That chance encounter resulted in Fatima being harassed by Miguelito, which Jackie was able to stop. However, apart from simply warning her not to tell anyone about what happened, Jackie took advantage of the situation in order to not just restore the reputation of their family but to also further build up Miguelito, who’s running as mayor in the forthcoming elections. 

Thus, she and Miguelito wasted no time and immediately visited Fatima at their home later that night with a bouquet of flowers and announced that he’s indeed courting her. Jackie made it appear that Miguelito fell in love with her at first sight, with Miguelito expressing his yearning to get to know her better—in front of their neighbors who had gathered to witness the blooming of their romance. Fatima was absolutely shocked and displeased and even refused to accept his gift and profession of love but was later on compelled to do so when Miguelito suddenly knelt on one knee.

Knowing that the gesture wasn’t sincere and just mere theatrics, Fatima confronted him behind closed doors, but Miguelito insisted that he really has feelings for her and wishes to get to know her better. Being the strong and feisty young woman that she is, Fatima, of course, didn’t fall for it after what he had just done to her earlier that night.

However, even though she strongly resents him and doesn’t feel any affection towards him, Fatima was still forced to agree to have a “fake relationship” with him after he threatened her that he would tell her parents about her previous job. Fatima apparently didn’t want it to happen because that would surely break their hearts, so she gave her nod of approval to him in front of the crowd watching their courtship and even allowed him to kiss her on the lips.

Is there going to be a chance for the fake relationship of Miguelito and Fatima to become real? Or will it continue to be just for the show?
