Collecting may seem to be a preposterous quirk for others, yet it’s able to fulfill something in us that we yearn to satisfy, as well as to reveal surprising sides to our personalities.

Apparently most of the stars we’d talked to reveal that they have penchant for bags, clothes, shoes, and jewelry, which we all know are essential in their job as media personalities since they are expected to always look fashionable and presentable. But, most importantly, those fashion items can also be their way of expressing themselves, may be it in or out of the spotlight.

A self-confessed “material girl,” “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” ex-housemate Kira Balinger enthused about her love for bags, shoes, and clothes. However, she said that it’s just jewelry that she likes to collect. The same goes for Gello Marquez and “PBB Gen 11” 4th Big Placer Kai Montinola, who both seem to feel that their OOTDs aren’t complete without them wearing any jewelry. 

From books and caps, Jameson Blake shared that his interest now has already shifted to watches. Kyle Echarri, meanwhile, talked about his fondness for sunglasses and even spectacles despite still having 20/20 vision. It was also shades for Kapuso actor and “PBB Celebrity Collab” ex-housemate Josh Ford, who jested that he might begin collecting arinola after he’s been tagged “arinola king” during his stint in the reality show.

“Tawag ng Tanghalan” Season 6 grand winner Lyka Estrella confessed to splurging on bags, particularly shoulder purse bags, as well as on perfumes. Similarly, “PBB Gen 11” 3rd Big Placer Kolette Madelo also likes to collect perfumes. Her batchmate and 2nd Big Placer Rain Celmar, on the other hand, said that she actually keeps buying clothes.

AC Bonifacio is apparently among the stars who have fallen to the “anik-anik” fad, as she admitted being attracted to adorable knick-knacks, figurines, keychains, and the like, such as the ones part of the Hirono line.

While the aforementioned stars have a predilection for material stuff, Iza Calzado, Angeline Quinto, and Emilio Daez imparted that their interests have already diverted to intangible things. 

Iza ‘fessed up about allotting a portion of her income to luxurious shoes and bags in her younger years. However, she later on realized that she must put her money instead on things that would last, such as her memories with her loved ones and smarter investments. 

Angeline, on her part, used to collect ref magnets in the past, with her first-ever piece coming from Iloilo, which she bought during an “ASAP” live show there. But now, what matters to her more are the memories she creates and shares with her family.

And lastly, Emilio shared that he’s not into material things, as he rather collects memories from every place that he visits.
