One of the most anticipated moments in every season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” is the pressing of the Golden Buzzer. There’s always a certain thrill that comes with seeing that button light up, followed by a burst of confetti and reactions of surprise and excitement filling the room.

In the PGT lexicon, the Golden Buzzer means that a judge— or in some seasons, even the hosts—believes they’ve just witnessed an act so outstanding that it deserves to be fast-tracked to the next stage of the competition. Golden Buzzer recipients skip the Judges’ Cull, where the panel reviews all acts that received at least three “yes” votes during the auditions to determine who will advance to the semi-finals, meaning those who earn the Golden Buzzer are guaranteed a spot in the live shows.

Five acts rose above the rest and earned that rare, resounding buzz of approval. As we count down to the next phase of the competition—the live shows happening this weekend—let’s rewind to the golden moments that lit up “Pilipinas Got Talent” Season 7.

The first Golden Buzzer was given by hosts Robi Domingo and Melai Cantiveros to Femme MNL, an all-gay dance crew on a mission to prove they’re “confidently beautiful and talented with a heart” and a total force on stage. With a routine that's sassy and served with just the right amount of comedy, hip-hop had never looked this bongga!

Eugene Domingo felt the heat and pressed the Golden Buzzer for JB Bangcaya, whose intense fire-balancing act turned the PGT outdoor stage into an inferno of talent.  With flaming wheels spinning on his feet, forehead, and eventually flying through the air, JB delivered a high-stakes exhibition that had the crowd gasping. Judge Eugene described the act as world-class, and praised JB for brandishing the character of a true Filipino—someone willing to risk it all, scars and burns included, just to show the world what he’s made of. 

FM Lightrix brought the 'wow' factor glowing. The LED dance crew from Talisay, Cebu turned the PGT studio into a neon world with their synchronized light show that married hip-hop with the magic of technicolor illusion. Dazzled, Freddie "FMG" Garcia gave them the brightest seal of approval: the Golden Buzzer.  Judge FMG was impressed with how the group showcased something modern and unique where technology plays a big role.

From one empowered woman to another, Kathryn Bernardo's Golden Buzzer pick was Jasmine Flores,  a half-Pinay competitive dancer who performed a combination of jazz, ballet, and acrobatic movements, shifting from clean pirouettes to sharp flips and floor work. Kathryn felt Jasmine’s passion throughout the routine and felt proud to see a strong, graceful Pinay owning the PGT stage.

Donny’s Golden Buzzer went to Esay Belanio, whose guitar-backed rendition of “Nagloko Ka Rin Naman” was filled with angst and emotion. But what struck Donny just as much was Esay’s story— how her parents quit their jobs so she could chase her dream of doing music full-time He noted the commitment and grit that came with the performance. And as someone who had been saying he was waiting for a certain kind of fire, Donny found exactly that in the 19-year-old rockstar dreamer.

With all five Golden Buzzer acts securing their spots, the next big task fell on the judges as they narrowed down the remaining contenders. From a pool of 73 acts who received at least three “yes” votes during auditions, only 24—including the Golden Buzzer recipients—will make it to the live semi-finals.
