But more than the music, it was Esay’s story that gave the moment its weight. She shared how her parents quit their jobs so she could focus on her passion for music full-time. That kind of support is rare, and so is a talent like that of Esay. Judge Donny Pangilinan has always said he’s been waiting for that kind of fire, and he witnessed it in her eyes, enough to convince him to hit the Golden Buzzer. This grants Esay a ticket to skip the Judges’ Cut round and move straight to the live semi-finals.
